Well the holidays are over and it's time to get back to normal. Thanks to food allergies and poor digestion I stay away from most dairy, fried food and fast food on a regular basis but during the holidays it is so hard to say no. We went a little overboard around here with treats and holiday eating and we are both feeling sluggish and swollen.
A few years ago I tried the Dr. Oz Three Day Detox Cleanse and I really liked it. The ingredients are easy to find, the smoothies are filling and it's only three days. Monday-Wednesday this week I am doing the detox and my husband will have some delicious crockpot chili and soups. For the rest of the week I found some healthy recipes that will easy us back into healthy eating.
Monday - Wednesday: Detox for me, chili for Blake
Thursday: Kale Salad with avocado and apple (add grilled chicken to make a dinner portion)
Saturday: Brussels sprouts salad I love this salad! I add kale and arugula and quinoa to bulk it up for dinner and if you don't have cherries try cranberries.
