Friday Five

Let's get real... I have a love-hate relationship with Pinterest.

Love- so many ideas for any and everything, inspiration for outfits, food, decor, etc. and major cut back on magazine purchasing

Hate- I often find myself saying "how have I been on Pinterest for an hour," constant brain overload, and indecision from so many choices

On Fridays I'm going to be posting five of my pins from the week and thoughts about how or why I'm going to use them in my life. Let me know what you think.

Friday Five

1. I have a board I've lovingly titled "Wish List." This is a place to drop hints about what I might want, need, or can't live without. I've been updating it for the holiday season and this book is on my list for sure. It seem like a fun girly read and Caroline de Maigret is amazing.
How to Be Parisian Wherever You Are: Love, Style, and Bad Habits by Anne Berest
 2. This past week Blake and I watched a few episodes of The Mind of a Chef . It is a fantastic documentary series and you should go binge watch it right now. Season one is about the amazing Chef David Chang, owner/chef of  Momofuku. His story really drew me in and inspired me to start experimenting with new ingredients. This is a style of cooking I'm hoping to learn in the coming months and year.
Tsukemen. It means “dipping noodles” where cold noodles are served separately with hot dipping soup and toppings on the side.

3 & 4 I'm in Holiday menu mode and I can't stop myself from pinning things I want to make or wish I could add to the menu this year. We will be traveling to see family for Thanksgiving next week and then a few times in December for other holiday festivities so I hope to have several opportunities to try new recipes (flavored marshmallows yes please!) or perfect favorites (I could just eat this cranberry sauce right out of the bowl).

5. There is something about iconic french style that just makes sense to me and speaks to me at this point in my life. It's timeless, simplicity and ease with just a little attitude.

What are you pinning these day? What is on your radar for the holiday season and the new year? Can you believe it's almost 2015?

Happy Friday everyone!
