Friday Five

I hope you all took my advice yesterday and enjoyed this holiday season with things that make you happy. For me that's good smells, holiday sounds and of course coffee. So whatever makes you slow down, smile and look at the blessings around you I hope you find them today as we move into the weekend before Christmas.

On Fridays I discuss five things I've Pinned throughout the week. Mostly, I pin recipes, DIY projects, outfit ideas and home decor. inspiration.

One: Kate, one of the food bloggers I love and follow on a regular basis, posted this recipe a few days ago. I LOVE this type of baked treat. Call them what you will, ginger, molasses, cookie or bread this is one of my favorite flavors. I was so excited to try the recipe that I made it yesterday. These cookies are soft, chewy and delicious, especially with my coffee this morning!

Two: Doesn't this picture just sum up everything good about this time of year. Everything from her bright red nails, and socks, to her giant latte, cozy leggings and sweater. I have a big silly grin on my face just thinking about winter mornings, being bundled up on the couch with warm treats and watching Elf, or Charlie Brown for the millionth time.
Yes all of this! Winter

Three: Mourning the end of an era this week and looking forward to what will come next.
The Colbert Report: "Official" Coffee Mug
Four: Emily, the creator of Cupcakes and Cashmere, was my introduction to blogging. I have never met her or interacted with her but her blog was the first I started following and it's one of, if not my favorite blog.

Five: Guys, I am loving this Urban Outfitters hat I bought a few weeks ago seen here. I have been wearing it a few days a week and pinning lots of ways to wear it. I love these boho looks that are perfect for the mild winter days in Huntington Beach but can easily be layered for chillier temperatures at night.
Love the long-sleeve short dress with the floppy hat combination. Neutrals
